national guard discharge?

okay heres the deal. when i went to meps i didnt technically lie about my past dui and minor traffic offense. i got a lawyer and got youthful offender for my dui. i was 18. i went to drill and killed all my pt tests, i was fully committed. but the day i before i shipped i went to meps and they called me in and said im not shipping because of my dui that was on record. i told them that i plead youthful offender and that my lawyer, judge and gay recruiter told me not to list it. so i followed directions given to me. on top of that my recruiter did not do a background check where i moved from but only the city i enlisted for. now they said im getting a discharge but can join again in 6 months. i need help to see if this is correct
what kind of discharge?

You blame everyone but yourself. You should have done the right thing and list it. Nothing is hidden from the military. More than likely you won’t be able to get a waiver since they are getting harder to come by.
